Trauma-Informed Practice Training

On 28th February 2025, clinical consultant and therapist Harriet Williams led an inspiring day of training on the role of art and creativity in supporting trauma recovery. The session focused on developing a trauma-informed approach for communities of the global majority in creative settings, building on the ongoing work of creative health. Held at Company Chameleon in Openshaw, the training brought together over 15 attendees to explore the ‘5 Ways to Wellbeing’—Connect, Learn, Be Active, Take Notice, and Give. Through fantastically delivered hands-on exercises and discussions, participants gained valuable skills to enhance their trauma-informed practice.

“I liked that although this was a heavy subject, Harriet Williams’ delivery and exercises were structured in a way that helped us not to drown in the upsetting information in the training”
